It looks like the fashion world has a new face and it comes in form of 16-year old gorgeous Nyasha Matonhodze.
She’s just been announced as the new face of Louis Vuitton’s 2011 Fall/Winter campaign.
The Zimbabwe-born student who now resides in Northamptonshire was discovered at the UK Elite Model Look competition back in 2009 and is being tipped as one of THE emerging supermodels.
Nyasha has already appeared in as already appeared in Teen Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar last year and last season she also walked for several fashion shows including Louise Gray, Clements Ribeiro, Jonathan Saunders during London Fashion Week SS11 as well as Loewe, Emanuel Ungaro, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac and Louis Vuitton in Paris.
Upon learning that she had been selected as one of the stars of the upcoming Vuitton campaign, Nyasha told the Telegraph, “My eyes filled up with tears and I thought ‘Lord you are lucky!’ It didn’t actually hit me until I was sat in a Rolls Royce sitting eye-to-eye with [famed fashion photographer Stephen] Meisel.”
“Nyasha is not only very beautiful she has the little extra thing you can't quite put your finger on,” a spokesperson for Elite said, “She is intelligent, graceful and people who meet and work with her instantly fall in love with her.
I have no doubt she has the potential to go all the way.”
