Most Anticipated Movies of 2015

It's only been 6 days since we welcomed in 2014 and already many movie-goers are counting down to 2015.
Why you ask?
Well with 15 highly anticipated blockbuster movies due for release in 2015, these movies are creating a world-wind frenzy.

Number 15...
"Inside Out" - is a Pixar movie starring Amy Poehler, Bill Hader, and Mindy Kaling. It's a tale that takes viewers on a journey inside the mind of a little girl and told from the perspective of emotions within her.
The film arrives in theaters June 19, 2015 just in time for summer!
Number 14...

"Tomorrowland" - directed by Brad Bird, this live-action fantasy film stars George Clooney as an inventor who stumbles upon a mysterious box within Disney's animated archives. Hugh Laurie, best known for his role as Dr. Gregory House on Fox's House, plays the villain.

The movie is set for release on May 22, 2015


Number 13...

"Ant Man" - is a British-American superhero from the Marvel Comics franchise with Paul Rudd in the lead role and directed by Edgar Wright hits theaters on July 31, 2015.


Number 12...

"Fifty Shades of Grey" - based off the bestselling book by E.L. James, this kinky-erotic movie is due for release on February 13, 2015 and stars Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey and Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele.


Number 11...

"Jurassic World" (also know as Jurassic Park 4) - Thanks to Universal Pictures, this billion-dollar franchise is releasing it's ultimate theme park adventure on June 12, 2015 with a brand new cast of actors and dinosaurs.

Set in present time, Chris Pratt (Guardian's of the Galaxy), Bryce Dallas Howard (The Help), and Ty Simpkins (Insidious) are in for a quite an adventure in this highly anticipated film.


Number 10...

"Minions" - Due to the success and popularity of "Despicable Me", Gru's little minions are getting their chance to shine in this summer spin-off which arrives in theaters July 3, 2015!


Number 9...

"Insurgent" - the sequel to Divergent (which doesn't arrive in theater's until March 21, 2014) is a futuristic film about people who are divided into distinct factions based on their personalities. Unfortunately, Tris Prior, Shailene Woodley's character is Divergent and doesn't fit within any group.

And with a conspiracy to destroy all Divergents, this film directed by Neil Burger and based on the novel by Veronica Roth, is action-packed and due for release on March 20, 2015.


Number 8...

"Cinderella" - Disney's live-action film directed by Kenneth Branagh, is based-off the animated classic and stars Lily James, as a modern day Cinderella, Cate Blanchett (Lady Termaine), Richard Madding (Prince Charming), Helena Bonham Carter (Fairy God Mother), and Sophia McShera (Drizella).

The movie makes its big screen debut on March 13, 2015.


Number 7...

"Fantastic Four" - Twentieth Century Fox's reboot is set to hit theater's on June 19, 2015, but has yet to confirm any casting news or storylines.

Nevertheless, the buzz behind this movie makes you wonder if and when there will be an X-Men crossover. Only time will tell.


Number 6...

"Fast and Furious 7" - This time around director James Wan (Saw) takes the helm of the Furious franchise. Due to actor Paul Walker's untimely death, the film's new release date is April 10, 2015.

Cast members Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese, and Jordana Brewster will all return for another action-packed ride while giving fans a chance to bid a final farewell to its star Paul Walker.


Number 5...


"Bond 24" - Skyfall director Sam Mendes and Daniel Craig return for another installment of the James Bond franchise and hopes to continue its blockbuster success in 2015 when it hits theaters on November 6.


Number 4...

"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2" - With Part 1 yet to be release, it seems like everyone is in a frenzy to see the final installment of this very popular book-turned-movie franchise.

Mockingjay, Part 2 will be released on November 20, 2015 giving fans the final opportunity to see Jennifer Lawrence aka Katniss Everdeen in action.


Number 3...

"Batman vs. Superman" - When Zack Snyder announced the casting of Ben Affleck (Argo) as Batman followed by Gal Gadot (Fast and Furious) as Wonder Woman, the news caused quite a media frenzy and continues to do so as the number 3 highly anticipated movie of 2015.

"Batman vs. Superman" flies into theater's July 17.


Number 2...

"The Avengers: Age of Ultron" - Thanks to the success of the first Avengers film it's no wonder fans are hyped up about the Age of Ultron. With an all-star cast that includes superhero newcomers Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch, Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Quicksilver, and James Spader taking on the role of villainous Ultron, it's safe to say, Joss Wheldon has another hit on his hands.

"The Avengers: Age of Ultron" release date is May 1, 2015!


Number 1...

"Star Wars: Episode VII" - Star Wars fans rejoice because Episode VII The Gauntlet of Infinity is coming to a theater near you!

If that wasn't exciting enough, Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Harrison Ford (Hon Solo), and Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia) will appear in the J.J. Abrams directed film which is set to release on December 18, 2015 just in time for the holidays!

Best Christmas gift ever, right?!
