Oscars Ugliest Dresses

What were these celebrities thinking when they showed up at the red carpet wearing these horrifying outfits?

What a fashion felony for singer Celine Dion to show up at the 1998 Oscars in this backwards suit and fedora.

Definitely one of the worse dressed look in Oscar history.

Who could forget Bjork at the 2001 Oscars wearing this hideous swan dress. Someone should have told her this look was for the birds.

The 1986 Oscars was the year Cher showed up in this Bob Mackie creation.

Then in 1988 she outdid herself by wearing yet another revealing Bob Mackie gown to the awards show.

Love it or hate it, Cher's red carpet moments certainly was memorable!

In 1992, actress Geena Davis showed up at the Oscars wearing a Thelma & Louise inspired mullet gown.

What the heck was she thinking?!

At the 2008 Oscars, actress Julie Christie along with her stylist, Tanya Gill came up with this ensemble. Between the ruched dress, gloves, and pink shoes this look doesn't do the actress' petite figure justice.

There's way too much clashing going on it's distracting.

Scarlett Johansson definitely missed the beat when she wore this lacy fushia Dolce & Gabbana gown to the 2011 Oscars.

She looks like she just rolled out of bed and threw on her grandmother's table cloth. To make matters worse, Scarlett looks pregnant in the second photo.

Major fashion catastrophe!

2008 will be best remembered as the year Tilda Swinton won an Oscar in that ridiculous black garbage bag gown.

Against her pale skin and fiery red hair, this outfit is all wrong.

From the neck up, Uma Thurman is perfection. From the neck down, she's an origami disaster at the 2004 Oscars.

Whoopi Goldberg at the 1993 Oscars. Seriously? With that get-up, she looks like she's auditioning for Alice in Wonderland.

Gwyneth Paltrow 2012 Oscar gown is fugly with a capital F!

Her stylist should have been fired for allowing her to walk the red carpet in this contraption. The Gothic zombie with chicken cutlet look just doesn't work anywhere. Period.

Kate Hudson wearing Stella McCartney at the 2001 Oscars. She looks like a chandelier that belongs inside the Shrine Auditorium rather than the red carpet.

Nominated for Best Costume Design back in 1994, Lizzy Gardiner showed up at the Oscars wearing American Express credit cards.

Aside from the free advertisement, the cards would have served her better at a dress shop.

Michelle Rodriguez may not have walked the Oscar 2011 red carpet, but that didn't stop her gown from making the hideous list during a trip to an after party.

I like lace. I even like sheer. But this ensemble with the visible thighs and shorts is just plain gross. No one needs to see that.

Two thumbs down!!!
