Despite the L.A. coroner's office ruling that Brittany died of pneumonia, anemia, and prescription drugs intoxication, Brittany's father Angelo Bertolotti submitted samples of his daughter's hair to an independent lab whose report found evidence of high levels of toxic metals present.
These types of metals are usually found in rat poison.
Although a representative for the coroner's office stands by their report, Brittany's family finds her death highly suspicious.
Adding to the mystery is that five months following the Clueless star's death, her husband Simon Monjack dies. Cause of death: pneumonia and anemia.
Bertolotti claimed his daughter and Simon both suffered from symptoms related to heavy metal poisoning such as headaches, wheezing, pneumonia, congestion, disorientation, and abdominal cramps.
