It was a star-studded event as actress Shirley MacLaine, fellow musicians Herbie Hancock, Billy Joel, and Carlos Santana along with opera star Martina Arroyo received Kennedy Center Honors on Sunday, December 8, 2013.
Despite the inclement weather in the nations capital, all were on hand to celebrate with entertainers Garth Brooks, Don Henley, and Tony Bennett taking part with tribute performances for each honorees.
But it was first lady, Michell Obama who stole the show in her stunning emerald-green silk chiffon Marchesa gown.
Very fitting color for the holiday season.
